We have some news to share…
After three and a half years as Founder and Executive Director of Natural Habitat, Carrie has made the difficult decision to step down from her role.
As trustees, we want to express our deep gratitude for Carrie’s vision, dedication and leadership. From an initial idea to a respected and impactful local charity, Natural Habitat has grown into an organisation that connects community, creativity and conservation in meaningful and lasting ways. Much of what the charity is today is a testament to Carrie’s commitment, energy and belief in what is possible when people come together around nature.
Carrie shares:
“Establishing and growing Natural Habitat has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my professional life. I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved in collaboration with so many brilliant people – building an organisation from the ground up into a respected and impactful local charity has been a profoundly positive journey.
Following a sustained period of intensive leadership and delivery, I have decided that this is the right time to step back and prioritise my long-term wellbeing, allowing the next chapter of the charity to unfold.”
While we will greatly miss Carrie’s day-to-day leadership, we fully support her decision and thank her for the extraordinary contribution she has made to the organisation and the wider community.
We would also like to thank everyone who has supported, collaborated with and championed both Carrie and Natural Habitat along the way. Your encouragement, trust and commitment have helped make this journey possible.
Natural Habitat’s work continues. The trustees remain fully committed to the charity’s future and are working closely with Carrie to ensure a smooth transition as we move into the next phase of the organisation’s development.
Please join us in thanking Carrie for everything she has given to Natural Habitat and wishing her well for whatever comes next.
